Arvids historia

Vårt företag grundades samma år som det första världskriget slutade, så vi har varit en del av utvecklingen av fästelement länge nu. Det hela började med att Arvid Nilsson reste från Skåne till Köpenhamn och blev köpmanslärling. 25 år gammal grundade han sitt företag på Vesterbro i Köpenhamn.

Därefter växte Arvid Nilsson och blev med tiden en tongivande aktör på marknaden. Genom olika uppköp och egen tillväxt finns koncernen idag representerad i Sverige, Norge och Danmark.

Vi är stolta över vår utveckling och historia. Lika stolta är vi över att våra produkter hållit ihop den moderna världen i snart 100 år, från vitvaror till vindkraftverk. Våra minsta skruvar ser till att kretskorten i din mobiltelefon sitter där de ska medan våra största bultar håller ihop oljeriggar. Hållbara fästelement med andra ord.

Timeline:

1893

Arvid Nilsson is born in Skåne, Sweden.

1908

Arvid Nilsson emigrates to Copenhagen and begins a merchant´s apprenticeship.

1918

Arvid Nilsson founds his own company in Copenhagen's Vesterbro neighbourhood.

1939

Arvid Nilsson sets up company facilities with 2500 m2 of warehouse space and 500 m2 of office space on Vibevej in Copenhagen's Norrebro neighbourhood.

1948

Arvid Nilsson becomes a joint-stock company with DKK 1,2 million in equity capital.

1953

The Arvid Nilsson Fund is founded and becomes sole shareholder of Arvid Nilsson A/S.

1975

Arvid Nilsson A/S moves to its new newly constructed facilities in Glostrup, Copenhagen with 6400 m2 of warhouse and office space.

1980

The company purchases Boskin A/S and Opan A/S.

1986

Purchase of Skandinavisk Boltevarelager.

1992

Purchase of three large wholesale companies in Sween and Norway. Central warehouse constructed in Hammelev, Denmark. Purchase of Göteborgs Bult (Sweden) and half of Fonas Fabrikker in Dokka, Norway.

1995

Arvid Nilsson A/S becomes sole shareholder of the production factory Dokka Fasteners AS, Norway.

1996

Purchase of Witte Byggteknik AB in Gothenburg, Sweden. The construction industry herbey becomes a new business area for Arvid Nilsson.

1997

Purchase of Unibolt A/S, Denmark. New office facilities built in Hammelev, Denmark. central warehouse expanded. Sales departments in Glostrup and Haderslev, Denmark, are merged in Hammelev.

2000

Warehouse activities in Glostrup are moved to Hammelev, Denmark.

2001

Purchase of Sapro AS on Norway's west coast. Sales company founded in Shanghai, China.

2002

Arvid Nilsson A/S move its head office to vidovre, Copenhagen. Unibolt A/S sold to Gesipa GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany. Arvid Nilsson's warehouse in Norway is moved to Arvid Nilsson Sweden.

2003

Arvid Nilsson's warehouse and logistics functions are both physically and administratively merged into the company Arvid Nilsson Logistics in Kungälv, Sweden.

Witte Byggteknik's series production moves to Dokka Fasteners in Norway. At the same time, Arvid Nilsson Sweden's sales and purchasing departments move to Kungälv, Sweden.

2007

The logistics centre in Kungälv, Sweden, is enlarged from 13 000 m2 to a total of 20 000 m2

2008

The Arvid Nilsson Fund sells the company to the Würth Group, which is the world's largest trading company in fasteners and fitting technology, based in Künzelsau, Germany. Arvid Nilsson maintains independent management under its own name.

2012

The Arvid Nilsson head office is moved to Kungälv, Sweden.

2014

Split between Industry and Retail Division. The Industry Division is merged with Würth Industry Division.
